In 2012, Wausau,Wisconsin USA will host the top
Junior Slalom and U23 canoe and kayak paddlers in the world!


Wausau will again host the topThousands of spectators will line the shores of the raging Wisconsin River in downtown Wausau, Wisconsin, USA July 10-15 to watch 200 of the world’s top young paddlers from more than 35 nations take on the world-renowned Wausau Whitewater Course. The 312 meter Wausau course has been challenging Olympic-bound competitors for more than 25 years while hosting numerous World Cup and other international and national events. Supported and managed by The Wausau Kayak Canoe Corporation, Wausau’s whitewater course was the site of another Junior World Championship in 1994. Hundreds of dedicated and experienced volunteers are ready to welcome paddlers and spectators alike to a thrilling week of international whitewater competition in Wausau, Wisconsin just a few days before the canoe slalom events begin at the Summer Olympics in London!
